About Dan:
Dan is a native North Carolinian; he grew up in the Foothills of Caldwell County and received an excellent public education, while staying busy with sports and his church community.
Dan graduated from Wingate University in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Communications, and he’s worked in software sales for more than 15 years for various companies ranging from multi-billion dollar enterprises, to startups. He moved to Cabarrus County in 2009 and currently lives in Harrisburg with his wife, Carly, and his 2 children: Dylan and Mae.
Dan comes from a family deeply rooted in public service and believes now is the right time to step forward and serve his community.
He also believes that Cabarrus County is ready for a new voice that unifies people around a vision for progress. His focus will be on:
-
Building a diverse housing stock that meets the needs of the county, and shrink the housing-shortage gap.
-
Investing in our public schools and children.
-
Investing in infrastructure planning with a focus on sustainable growth.
Since volunteering with the Cabarrus County Democratic Party in 2024, Dan has taken on leadership roles, including Vice Chair of Precinct 01-04, helping on the Messaging Task Force, and leading the outreach efforts for new candidates in the Piedmont region.
Dan knows that now is the time to lead with agency and conviction to deliver on results that will put Cabarrus citizens first. We deserve leadership that has a vision for a prosperous and abundant Cabarrus County for all, and Dan is ready to deliver on that vision.
